Each binary is statically linked: no C library, interpreter or database server to install. The console is built in. Get them from [Downloads](/downloads/).

## Running as a service

- **Linux** — systemd; the [Raspberry Pi guide](/blog/install-shipyard-on-raspberry-pi/) has a complete unit file that works on any systemd distribution.
- **Containers** — see [Run with Docker](/docker/).
- **FreeBSD and macOS** — run the binary under your service manager (rc.d, launchd) with `-config` pointing at your configuration.

Keep `storage.path` and `logging.directory` on a local disk; SQLite should not sit on a network share.
